Hello Readers!
Another day....In Tokyo, Japan.
This morning I woke up in my BEAUTIFUL hotel and went downstairs to the ENCHANTE: All Day dining restaurant for breakfast!

It was delicious !!!
BUT ANYWAYYS....
...I've been doing some research and looking around town and I've been very anxious to find out more information on the plate boundaries, right here in Japan! I have found out that japan is one "island" that has been formed through convergent plate boundaries! Effects from convergent boundaries result in earthquakes, volcanic islands and more! That helps explain the recent earthquake that hit Japan! it's been great exploring in more depth the reason behind these earthquakes and plate boundaries and how it effects Japan.

Also, I have found where the 2011 Japan earthquake occurred.
[38 degrees 20'33.76" N 142 degrees 23'23.64" E. Elev-3358 ft.]
Japan is very prone to earthquakes and around it is one of the areas where the deepest earthquakes are located.
I located the subduction plate boundary, which in my picture above is labeled as the trench.
[40 degrees 00'35.90" N 144 degrees 14'53.40" E Elev-11469 ft.]
The japan earthquaked happened because of the Pacific plate and the Eurasia plate collided and the Pacific plat went down and lifted the Eurasia plate, causing an earthquake. One tsunami occured from an earthquake in 1707, which drowned about 30,000 people.
It has been awesome in Tokyo and the places here are amazing1 [ps. i will upload some trip photos from Japan later...]
WAIT! I SEE SOMETHING! I am going to go check it out and then blog about later!
BTYL! [Blog to you later]
